The powwow is a gathering of North America's Native people.Powwow is the meaning of "spiritual leader".Powwow is a meeting with Native Americans and non-Native Americans. They often dance and sing to increase each others'friendship. Also they would spread thier own culture.Talk about how important is thier culture. The time of the meeting is out of controul.Sometimes the meeting is just for one day but also in three days long.
Now there are some poeple who think the meeting is about military, but actaully it isn't.Native people think it is very rude to them to mistake the meaning of the powwow.
I think this party would be fun.We can know different people and understand each other traditions. We can learn others'good thing and improve our mistakes.

This website is about the drums and music.Drums almost are about twenty six inches in diameter.D0rum are made by wooden shell covered with rawhide. There are two circles of people around the drum.First circle are men who play drum.Second circle is Women who sing the songs. There are own songs for each of drums. The songs are come from thier ancestors who were created by themself. They need to remeber all the songs. If they can, they would also creat some songs. Why they need so many songs?Because when they are playing for Powwow, they can't replay the same songs. It is thier tradition.
I think these drums are very beautiful. There are different colors and design. When I heard the music,I think drums sound great.I hope Ican have one, too.
